As required by Bladen County Board of Education Policy 9300, a public hearing has been scheduled for the purpose of receiving public comments and suggestions regarding the naming of the East Bladen High School Soccer Area in honor of Dr. Samuel Ray Cross. This hearing is being held by the Naming Committee appointed to consider the naming proposal. Members of the public are invited to attend and provide comments regarding the proposed naming. Anyone who wishes to speak at the public hearing will have a maximum of three minutes. Unused time may not be transferred or given to another speaker.

Individuals may also provide written feedback to the Naming Committee by completing the online feedback form linked below. Feedback submitted through the form will be provided to the committee for consideration as part of the naming process.
The Naming Committee welcomes public participation and will consider comments and suggestions received as part of the naming process in accordance with Board Policy 9300.
