Friday night at East Bladen High School was about more than football. It was an evening to honor the strength of those who have battled cancer, remember those we have lost, and celebrate the hope that continues to inspire our community.

As part of Tackle Out Cancer, four cancer survivors were recognized, Cody, Ava, Wanda and Robby. Ava was able to join us in person for the celebration. We also honored and remembered loved ones through 13 luminaries, each representing someone whose journey has touched the lives of family, friends and our community.

Adding even more energy to the evening, our mini Eagle cheerleaders joined the team on the sidelines, cheering on the Eagles and helping make the night especially memorable. 🦅📣

Thank you to everyone who helped make Tackle Out Cancer a meaningful part of Friday night’s game. Together, we continue to show that our schools are about more than what happens on the field. They are places where we come together to support one another, celebrate life and remember those who have made an impact on our community.

💙Together, we tackle cancer.
