All juniors are expected to be on campus Friday, 02/20, for an all-day ACT Blitz focused on Reading, Math, and Science, where students will learn helpful tips and strategies for success. Attendance will be taken for each session. Sessions will be instructed by Mr. Deswal, Mr. Kissam, and Mrs. Hair. Students participating in the Blitz will attend 2nd lunch.

Today we shine the spotlight on Sergeant Tiffany Spurling, who serves as the School Resource Officer for East Bladen High School. National School Resource Officer (SRO) Appreciation Day is celebrated annually on February 15, and today we proudly recognize and thank her for the hard work, dedication, and daily contributions she makes to our school community.
Sgt. Spurling is well loved by our students and staff and can often be found building meaningful connections throughout campus. Her commitment to safety, mentorship, and positive relationships helps create a supportive environment where our students can learn and grow. We are grateful for the leadership, care, and encouragement she brings to East Bladen each and every day.

Celebrating CTE Month at the Nest!

This week, we are proud to recognize National School Counseling Week by highlighting Ms. Elizabeth Santiago, our school social worker. National School Counseling Week is dedicated to honoring the vital and invaluable role student support professionals play in promoting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students. Ms. Santiago works tirelessly to support our students through individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, family and community outreach, and advocacy for student needs. Please help us show our appreciation and gratitude for all that she does to support and care for our students each day.

While, road conditions have significantly improved, the National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for our area due to the possibility of freezing rain overnight. Therefore, out of an abundance of caution all Bladen County Schools and departments will operate on a 2 hour delay tomorrow.
If overnight or early morning conditions require a change to the delay, a decision will be made by 7 am.
We appreciate your cooperation as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff. We encourage everyone to closely monitor all communication channels for additional updates and look forward to seeing you tomorrow morning.
